  • When the Russian Cossacks began to penetrate European society in the 18th century, black-haired, bearded ribalds in high boots made of hog skin, the effeminate courtiers were at odds with their behavior. However, there was something about them – the scent. It was due to oils that kept their shoes clean and shiny. And no wonder perfume producers saw an opportunity.

And so they put their noses together and created a fragrance which has survived until today. Just like Farina, the oldest Cologne producer in Cologne, founded in 1709, which produces this fragrance.

Slightly wilder compared to the original light citrus scent. The head consists of bergamot, lemon, and basil, and the heart consists of fern, vetiver, ylang ylang, cedar wood, and nutmeg. All this rests on a body of leather, musk, moss, and vanilla.

Medium size – 50 ml flacon with a spray.

    Made in Germany

We also offer a 1 ml sample for 1 €, so that you can try the scent in the peace of your home.

  • When Johann Maria Farina created his first perfume in 1709 and named it after Cologne he probably didn't realize that it was a start of such a beautiful tradition. Original Farina - a light citrusy fragrance has been there ever since and has appealed to some fairly famous noses with Napoleon, Mozart, Queen Victoria, Merlene Diettrich or Bill Clinton being just a few examples on a really long list. If you prefer earthy heavier scents, be sure to try the Russisch Leder version.
